Servicing Terms
Gate Servicing & Annual Plan Terms
These terms apply to all servicing, maintenance, inspection and annual service plans provided by Gate Repairer Ltd.
1. Definitions
- Gate System: Any automated/manual gate, barrier, bollard or access system.
- Service Visit: Routine maintenance and safety checks.
- Responsible Person: Person controlling the premises and safe operation.
- Plan: Annual servicing agreement.
2. Service Plans & Pricing
Upfront Plans (ex VAT)
- 1 service/year – £300
- 2 services/year – £550
- 4 services/year – £1100
Monthly Plans (ex VAT)
- 1 visit/year – £30/month
- 2 visits/year – £45/month
- 3 visits/year – £60/month
- 4 visits/year – £75/month
Minimum term: 3 months. First visit after 3 cleared payments unless agreed.
3. What a Service Includes
- Visual and functional inspection
- Cleaning of accessible areas
- Lubrication where appropriate
- Light vegetation control
- Motor and control testing
- Safety device testing
- Mechanical inspection
- Basic electrical checks
- Basic calibration
- Service report
Servicing reflects the condition at time of visit only.
4. Safety & Compliance
If unsafe conditions are found we may:
- Advise manual use
- Isolate automation
- Recommend immediate repairs
- Refuse commissioning until safe
5. Exclusions
- Repairs and parts
- Emergency call-outs
- Groundworks, welding, fabrication
- Painting or civil works
- Access equipment hire
- Network/IT work
6. Payment Terms
- VAT applies
- Upfront plans paid before visits
- Monthly plans paid in advance
- Missed payments may suspend visits
- Minimum £360 per completed visit if plan cancelled early
7. Access & Site Conditions
- Safe access required
- Animals secured
- Decision-maker available if needed
- No access may be chargeable
8. Client Responsibilities
- Keep gate path clear
- Report faults promptly
- Prevent misuse
- Ensure safe operation
9. Existing & Legacy Systems
Hidden or pre-existing faults may be present. We cannot warrant prior installations or unknown systems.
10. Third-Party Interference
Unauthorised adjustments or repairs may affect safety and invalidate recommendations.
11. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays beyond our control including weather, illness or supply issues.
12. Liability
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Liability limited to visit value unless law requires otherwise.
13. Data & Records
We may record site photos for compliance and warranty evidence. Not used for marketing without consent.
14. Cancellations
Monthly plans require 90 days’ written notice. No refunds for completed visits.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
