What CAMESAFE Training Supports in Real-World Work

  • Safety devices: photocells, safety edges, loops, emergency stops, correct wiring and correct inputs
  • Risk areas: crushing points, hinge gaps, drawing-in points, impact zones and ground risks
  • Force and obstacle response: force settings, sensitivity and safe stop/reverse behaviour
  • Controls and safe operation: intercoms, keypads, GSM, fobs, safe access and safe user behaviour
  • Mechanical integrity: hinges, posts, rollers, tracks, guides, stops, welds and gate movement
  • Electrical integrity: cable condition, joints, enclosures, isolation, earthing and water ingress risks
If we inherit non-compliant layouts or unsafe legacy equipment, we will document it and quote corrective works separately.

Common Safety Issues We Correct

Missing safety edgesEdges are often required where crushing risk exists and cannot be otherwise eliminated.
Photocells not workingPoor alignment, cable damage or incorrect wiring can defeat safety protection.
Unsafe pillar/hinge gapsCrush points and trapping risks can exist even on “nice looking” gates.
Incorrect force settingsOver-force gates can injure people and damage vehicles if detection is ineffective.
Water ingress in enclosuresFailed seals and poor enclosures lead to shorts, faults and unsafe operation.
Requests to disable safetyWe will not bypass safety systems. A waiver does not make this compliant.
Where a risk cannot be controlled, we will advise stopping use until the correct upgrades are completed.
